It’s easy to forget that for all of the canopies, portable grills, lawn chairs and RVs parked outside of stadiums these days, tailgating began in the humble pickup truck. Fans would drive out to the game, lower their “tailgate” and use that to sit on while they ate and drank before the game. Many fans still do it the old-fashioned way, only now there’s a new product to help them tailgate in style – the TailgateCouch.
The TailgateCouch is a portable system of cushions that sits on the truck’s tailgate and provides both a “cush for the tush” and a chair-style back to lean against.

The TailgateCouch comes with a one-year warranty and is made to fit all standard bed full size pickup trucks. It doesn't fit "step side" or "flair side" models, but if the tailgate is five feet wide, the couch will fit. The product weighs less than 20 pounds and sets up in seconds.
“The couch definitely gets attention at sporting events,” added Schmitt. “Every time we set it up, people have to take a seat and try it out. The hard part is - the couch is so comfortable – no one wants to leave once they sit down!”
