The website is the brain-child of Julia Hurley, an avid SEC tailgater herself. “I came up with the name from the fact that no one beats the grilling at my tailgate. We are indeed the grill toppers. We then founded the website on the premise that the best tailgaters need a central place to go and get the best gear.
The SEC Grilltoppers website literally contains dozens of other products to kick your tailgate party up a notch and show that all-important team spirit. Some of the newest products include inflatable mascots, stand up coolers, barbecue sauces, serving trays and banners.
“SEC fans are among the most dedicated fans in the country and we are happy to help feed that passion with many different tailgating products. But we also want the website to serve as a place where tailgaters can hang out online and virtually share the joys of tailgating. We will eventually feature video and photo content submitted by the fans.
“Tailgating in the SEC is a special tradition,” added Hurley. “With the launch of the SEC Grilltoppers website, we want everyone to be able to find those special products that feature their favorite team and set their tailgate party apart. We will continually look for new products and new markets where we can expand.”
